WHAT OUR STAFF HAD TO SAY...
“As a worksite wellness vendor, we want to lead by example. Our wellness program has goals, a strong committee and addresses all pillars of wellbeing. We do, however, have a unique population, in that we have very health conscious employees, so our focus is less on the physical and more on other areas of wellbeing like financial, social and emotional.”
“Our wellness program does a great job of connecting our employees across multiple Twin Cities locations and even multiple states. We host team-building events throughout the year, whether it be via conference call or in person. Our 30-minute Coffee Chats have been a crowd favorite this year! These are held once a month on a Friday around 10am. You grab some coffee, tea or a snack and either pull up a chair or call-in. We pick a fun topic to discuss, like favorite books, podcasts, Netflix shows, fall recipes or travel destinations. It’s been a fun way to get to know each other!"

Wellness by Design Awards are presented to Hennepin County employers that demonstrate accomplishments in management support, wellness infrastructure, communication, and programming directed at improving employee health. A “+Green” designation is also awarded to companies that minimize their impact on the environment. Twenty-two of the seventy-six Wellness by Design recipients received the “+Green” designation this year.
Worksite wellness programs are of value to both the employee and employer. They can improve employee performance, increase engagement, lower healthcare costs, and build community. Effective programs create a culture of health that affect all employees.
